After working in the transport industry for over 20 years, covering many roles from driving through to management, I was frustrated by the lack of training available. I was excited when the government introduced a compulsory training scheme aimed at educating professional drivers, now commonly known as Driver CPC. Attending many of these courses drove my desire to set up Portal56.

Our aim is to provide training that is engaging, interactive and relevant, with a focus on every candidate, from novice to the most experienced driver completing the course having learned something new. Portal56 believes working alongside companies can help them get the best from their business by providing a range of solutions. These include Transport Management Services (external and interim), Driver Inductions and Compliance Audits.

Portal56 offer approved periodic training courses for Driver CPC at great value for money. Our courses not only meet the statutory requirements, but have been designed to help with your driver’s professional development by addressing compliance and safety. We have a number of dedicated training rooms across Stoke-on-Trent where we run regular courses. Alternatively, Portal56 can provide in house training at your place of work (subject to room suitability and driver numbers), covering Staffordshire, Cheshire and surrounding areas.

With client engagement a priority, our DCPC courses encourage interactive discussions and driver participation, setting us apart from the competition. We focus on relevant training requirements, and by reviewing course feedback forms we cover topics that drivers find useful and informative. After each course, eligible drivers will receive their completion certificate, with 7 hours accreditation. An annual reminder will be sent to each candidate following course completion.
